Circles
The intention of this project is to juxtapose natural organic shapes with synthetic and man-made structures and colors.
Circles is a project shot entirely on 35mm film and all the effects are done in camera. The images are created with a double-exposure process. First, I photographed colored circles of felt against a white backdrop. I then rewound my film to the start and did a second pass, photographing landscapes and structures. I did not keep track of the arrangement of circles for each frame of the first pass, so wherever images framed themselves on my second pass was pure luck.
